Mehrzad Mumtahan is an Iranian-Australian artist. He was born in Shiraz Iran in 1968 and left at the age of 17 due to religious persecution. He arrived in Australia in 1987. Mehrzad sees art as a medium for education and social change. His work explores subjects such as human rights, justice and equality. Mehrzad has had a number of solo and group exhibitions of his works.
